Global Commercial Operations Manager

About the role

Flexsis, part of the Interiman Group, is seeking a Global Commercial Operations Manager for its client Novartis in Basel. You will lead and optimise worldwide pharmaceutical export activities, ensuring seamless collaboration across more than 150 partners in over 80 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and optimise global pharmaceutical export operations across 150+ partners in 80+ countries.
• Act as the business‑process and systems expert for commercial export activities.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation of SAP‑based processes.
• Lead cross‑functional projects from planning through implementation, delivering on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, IT and Export Operations teams to boost operational efficiency.
• Ensure accuracy, integrity and regulatory compliance of master data across business systems.
• Develop, maintain and improve Standard Operating Procedures and related documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Business, Commercial or Supply‑Chain Operations within a multinational organisation.
• 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical export operations.
• Strong knowledge of SAP (SD/MM required; FI/CO preferred).
• Experience with PricePro, TPES, contract‑management tools and Microsoft Office (preferred).
• Proven project‑management and cross‑functional leadership experience.
• Understanding of GMP, SOX, internal financial controls and regulatory compliance.
• Fluent in English; additional languages such as French are an advantage.
