Global Communications Manager – Full Time

About the role

Schindler is seeking a Global Communications Manager to shape the company’s voice and reputation worldwide. Based in Ebikon, Switzerland, you will lead international media relations, advise senior leaders, and develop strategic communications that support the brand’s position as a leading supplier of elevators, escalators and moving walkways.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a global media relations strategy, building trusted relationships with key journalists and outlets.
• Act as company spokesperson and counsel senior executives on media engagements, speaking opportunities and executive communications.
• Create compelling content such as press releases, speeches, interviews, web stories, annual report narratives and financial communications.
• Lead issues and crisis management, monitoring social, economic, regulatory and political developments to protect the company’s reputation.
• Collaborate with global teams to craft strategic business narratives and translate them into impactful stories.

Required profile

• University degree in Communications, Journalism, Business Administration or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in corporate communications and media relations within international organisations.
• Proven track record in reputation management, issues management and crisis communications.
• Strong network with media contacts and ability to influence senior leadership.
