Global HR Business Partner - GPG Semiconductors

About the role

Hitachi Energy is looking for a Global HR Business Partner for its GPG Semiconductor business, a highly visible HR leadership role within the Grid Integration Business Unit. The role supports a global organization across Switzerland, the Czech Republic, China, India and the Philippines, and sits in both the Semiconductor Management Team and the Grid Integration HR Leadership Team. It partners directly with the Global Business Group Leader to drive business growth, leadership development, organizational effectiveness and talent outcomes, and involves leading, coaching and mentoring a small team.

Key responsibilities

• Set and implement focus areas and actions aligned with the Business Unit and Product Group strategy, HR policies and guidelines
• Ensure people and organizational capabilities needed in the mid-to-long term are understood and acted upon; use HR analytics to identify trends and issues
• Implement the operating model and optimize organization structures in line with group and global standards, including the Hitachi Energy Job Structure
• Implement performance standards, KPIs and targets to build a high-performance culture
• Define competence actions and run learning and development activities with the HR Talent team
• Build talent bench strength and use the Leadership Pillars and People360 to drive culture and behaviour
• Ensure compliance with global and local standards, rules, tools, policies and processes, and run recognition and reward programmes linked to business priorities and C&B guidelines
• Partner with managers, union representatives and employees on labour relations issues
• Keep employee data accurate and up to date in IT systems

Required profile

• Proven years of HR generalist experience, including in a production environment, ideally in a global, multi-national matrix setting
• Strong track record in transformation, organizational and talent development, and capability building
• Ability to coach employees and manage complex, difficult issues
• Excellent communicator and collaborator who leads by influence
• Fluent German and English are essential
• Labour relations experience in a union environment is a plus
