Grant Accounting Manager

About the role

The World Economic Forum is expanding its Finance team to strengthen grant accounting capabilities. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Grant Accounting Manager will lead a dedicated team, ensuring operational excellence, robust controls, and high‑quality service across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and manage the Grant Accounting team, setting priorities and performance standards.
• Oversee month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities, meeting timelines and quality expectations.
• Maintain accurate balance‑sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with grantor requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement of processes, systems and team capabilities.
• Lead internal and external grant audits and manage auditor communications.
• Contribute to cross‑functional projects impacting grant accounting, including process optimisation and system enhancements.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Strong people‑leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop a high‑performing team.
• Hands‑on expertise in grant accounting and financial reporting.
