Group Chief Operating Officer (COO)

About the role

Batgroup is seeking a battle‑tested Group Chief Operating Officer to lead and scale the operational backbone of its cleaning services brands. Reporting to the Executive Team and regularly interfacing with the Board, the COO will transform high‑scale, complex operations into a seamless engine delivering 5‑star service.

Key responsibilities

• Refine and unify the service model across all regions to ensure consistent, high‑quality workforce management.
• Optimize the cleaning agent lifecycle (recruitment, training, payroll, retention) and client journey (onboarding, retention, upselling) to reduce churn.
• Partner with CTO and Product teams to automate workflows and upgrade operational tooling.
• Oversee high‑volume recruitment, HR administration for 4,000+ agents, and multilingual customer‑service teams.
• Drive the Swiss Cleaning Academy’s training strategy and ensure cultural alignment between Swiss headquarters and Lisbon hub.
• Manage the operational P&L, allocate resources efficiently, and implement risk‑mitigation controls.

Required profile

• 10+ years of operations experience, including 3‑5 years in a C‑level or VP Ops role within a mid‑to‑large organization (500‑2,000+ employees).
• Proven track record scaling startups into structured, high‑performing scale‑ups.
• Data‑driven mindset with strong dashboard and KPI monitoring skills.
