Hardware Design Engineer – Laser Systems

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Hardware Design Engineer to join a leading high‑tech laser systems company in Switzerland. You will work on cutting‑edge analog and digital circuitry that powers precision laser sources for global industrial applications.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualise, develop, simulate and verify sophisticated analog and digital circuits for high‑precision laser systems.
• Design electronic modules for power supplies and intelligent control of laser beam sources and peripheral components.
• Create, assemble, commission and test EMC‑compliant printed circuit boards (PCBs).
• Analyse existing circuits and continuously optimise performance.
• Produce technical specifications for mass production, maintain development documentation and guide products to production readiness.
• Assemble, commission and qualify functional prototypes and sample units.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Microtechnology, Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
• Several years of professional experience in electronic circuit and embedded‑system development.
• Fluent German (C2) and good English (B2) communication skills.
