Head of Cleaning Department (Night Shift)

About the role

Eisberg AG is looking for a Head of Cleaning Department (100%, permanent) to run its cleaning team on the night shift. When production is on hold, you keep the facilities clean and hygienic so that production can start safely and smoothly the next day. The role covers two production sites and requires regular night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate 29 cleaning staff across two production sites
• Check and monitor hygiene standards of the production facilities and ensure they are maintained
• Plan, coordinate and supervise daily and periodic cleaning tasks
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, hygiene plans and company rules
• Optimise the use of cleaning chemicals, water and staff
• Support the commissioning of new facilities and ensure cleaning requirements are met
• Carry out microbiological and chemical checks and act on deviations
• Manage the cleaning budget and ensure cost-effective use of resources

Required profile

• At least 5 years of professional experience in cleaning, ideally in the food industry or a similar sector
• At least 2 years of management experience and the ability to motivate and lead staff
• Own vehicle, as it is essential for the role
• Willingness to work regular night shifts as well as regular day and weekend shifts
• Meticulous, precise and reliable, with a strong focus on hygiene and quality

Required skills

• Very good written and spoken German
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Team player able to collaborate in a multicultural environment
