Head of Finance / CFO

About the role

Join a fast‑growing Swiss technology company as the Head of Finance / CFO and build the finance function from the ground up. You will work closely with the board, founders and investors to shape strategic growth and operational infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow planning and financial analysis.
• Oversee accounting, audit, tax and banking relationships with external providers.
• Establish robust financial controls, reporting processes and prepare management, board and investor reports.
• Manage corporate administration, back‑office processes and expense management.
• Support HR administration, payroll, onboarding and recruitment activities.
• Drive process improvements and operational efficiency across the organisation.
• Develop KPI frameworks, performance reporting and support pricing, commercial modelling and business planning.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives such as market expansion, partnerships and potential acquisitions.
• Build scalable systems, processes and governance structures for future growth.

Required profile

• 10+ years of finance experience in a small to mid‑cap environment, preferably in technology, software, consulting or high‑growth businesses.
• Proven track record establishing finance processes, reporting, forecasting and operational frameworks.
• Hands‑on approach with ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial setting.
• Strong commercial mindset with experience supporting pricing or business model development.
• Familiarity with Swiss accounting, payroll and corporate administration.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English.
