Head of Global Supply Chain

About the role

Idorsia Pharmaceuticals Ltd is seeking a senior leader to design and execute an end‑to‑end global supply chain that supports development, manufacturing, and commercial operations. The role will drive a scalable, agile, and compliant supply chain while collaborating closely with R&D, regulatory, finance, and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and lead a global supply chain organization covering planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics and distribution.
• Define and execute a digital supply chain strategy that supports product launches and long‑term growth.
• Establish Integrated Business Planning (IBP) / Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes to align demand, supply and financial plans.
• Develop and maintain best‑in‑class forecasting models and systems.
• Oversee external manufacturing and sourcing activities, ensuring supply reliability, quality and cost efficiency.
• Design and optimise global logistics and distribution networks across the US, EU and Asia.
• Ensure full GDP compliance and adherence to regulatory and quality standards.
• Build, lead and develop a high‑performing global supply chain team.
• Drive operational excellence initiatives, including lean practices and performance management.
• Lead new product introduction supply readiness in close collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading global supply chain functions in a regulated industry.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally with R&D, regulatory, finance and commercial stakeholders.
• Track record of building and developing high‑performing teams.
• Strong strategic leadership combined with hands‑on execution capability.
