Head of Learning & Development

About the role

The Head of Learning & Development leads the OCG Learning & Development function, reporting to the Director of Human Resources and sitting on the HR Management Team. This senior position defines, implements and evolves the L&D strategy to support MSF OCG’s social mission and strategic ambitions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and steer a multi‑year L&D strategy aligned with organisational and operational priorities.
• Advise senior management on learning, leadership and capability needs.
• Oversee OCG‑wide learning approaches, from needs analysis through design, delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement.
• Lead the development of leadership and management programmes, ensuring they build the behaviours expected of managers.
• Manage the L&D team, budget and resources, fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture.
• Represent OCG on MSF L&D platforms and develop internal and external partnerships to enhance learning capacity.

Required profile

• University degree in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Education or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience in L&D or people development within a complex, international, multicultural environment.
• Proven experience leading teams and managing large programmes and budgets.
• Experience working with senior leaders and multiple stakeholders across functions and geographies.
• Humanitarian experience, preferably with MSF, is an asset.
• Fluent professional proficiency in English and French.
