Head of Merchandising

About the role

The Head of Merchandising will define and drive the global merchandising strategy across all product categories, ensuring alignment with brand vision, consumer demand and commercial objectives. Reporting to senior leadership, this role will shape a profitable product offering, lead assortment architecture, pricing strategy, collection planning and go‑to‑market execution.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the global merchandising strategy, translating business objectives into actionable collection plans.
• Establish seasonal product architecture, balancing assortment across categories, price points, customer segments and distribution channels.
• Partner with Design and Product Development throughout the collection creation process to balance creativity, innovation and commercial performance.
• Lead cross‑functional decision‑making on product range, category priorities and assortment optimisation.
• Define and oversee the global pricing strategy, analysing cost structures, margins and pricing opportunities.
• Monitor product performance through sell‑in, sell‑out and inventory analysis and drive corrective actions.
• Conduct market intelligence and consumer insight analysis to refine product strategies and ensure regional needs are incorporated.
• Oversee merchandising aspects of collection launches and seasonal go‑to‑market strategies, presenting collections to Sales, Buying and Regional teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading global merchandising strategy and collection planning.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to evaluate pricing, margins and product performance.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills, working closely with Design, Product Development, Production, Sales and Regional teams.
• Ability to translate market trends and consumer insights into profitable product offerings.
