Head of Procurement Excellence

About the role

The Head of Procurement Excellence will lead the strategic development, standardisation and continuous improvement of procurement across Zeppelin Group. Reporting to the Head of Group Procurement, you will shape purchasing strategy, governance and data‑driven decision‑making while building capability throughout the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Introduce and continuously develop procurement systems (P2P suites, sourcing tools) and drive global roll‑out and adoption across all Group countries and SBUs.
• Define, refine and implement procurement strategies and standards focused on efficiency, transparency and sustainability.
• Lead the implementation of sustainable procurement initiatives aligned with ESG criteria and the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act.
• Manage complex, cross‑functional projects related to procurement strategy, governance and tool landscapes, acting as a central contact for the global procurement community.
• Document processes, develop corporate standards and ensure their implementation across subsidiaries.
• Design and maintain a comprehensive KPI framework, establish global reporting dashboards and promote analytics‑based decision‑making.

Required profile

• University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Business, Engineering, Economics or a related field.
• Extensive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or procurement excellence, with a proven track record in strategy, controlling or transformation projects.
• Strong project and change‑management capabilities, including experience leading cross‑functional or global initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; business‑fluent English.
• Initial leadership experience is preferred.

Required skills

• Experience with procurement tools and ERP systems such as SAP, Coupa, Ariba and Jaggaer.
