Hospital and Physician Services Specialist - PRN

About the role

The Hospital and Physician Services Specialist (PRN) supports radiologists and acts as a liaison between hospital staff and referring physicians for Raleigh Radiology’s outpatient imaging centers. Working primarily from the Raleigh office with occasional remote work, the specialist ensures smooth order entry, manages urgent findings, and coordinates patient communication.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and verify imaging orders in the Radiology Information System (RIS) and resolve Clario-related issues.
• Maintain the radiologist hotline, triage urgent/critical findings, and follow up with patients and referrers.
• Assist with the lung‑screening program and act as WithinHealth Care Coordinator.
• Provide timely, accurate information to physicians, referral coordinators, and patients.
• Ensure equipment availability, maintain a clean workspace, and protect confidential information.
• Collaborate with internal and external staff to solve operational problems as they arise.

• Comfort with telephone and scanner equipment for patient and provider communication.
