HR Director – Graphite & Carbon Business

About the role

As a member of the Imerys Graphite & Carbon Leadership Team and the Human Resources Leadership Team, you will act as the strategic architect of the people agenda for a fast‑growing €250M industrial business. Based in Bironico, Switzerland, you will lead HR excellence across Europe, North America and APAC, balancing global standards with local speed‑to‑market.

Key responsibilities

• Translate the €250M business strategy into a scalable human‑capital plan aligned with P&L targets.
• Advise the Business Vice President on organizational design, right‑sizing and change‑management initiatives.
• Coordinate the “Golden Triangle” between Corporate HR, the Business Unit and local operations to ensure consistent standards.
• Lead industrial relations in Switzerland and collaborate with Belgian HR to manage works councils and mitigate labor‑risk.
• Build talent pipelines for critical industrial and commercial roles, and drive succession and capability programs.
• Synchronise culture across 12 countries to foster a “One Business” mindset.
• Oversee performance‑linked compensation cycles and market‑benchmarking to attract specialised technical talent while protecting margins.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering, Human Resources, Business Administration or Law.
• 15+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of strategic HR partnership, organizational design and industrial‑relations management.
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing multi‑country HR teams.
