Inbound Transportation Operations Lead

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Inbound Transportation Operations Lead to join our Zurich‑based Global Inbound Transportation Team. Reporting to the Head of Inbound Transportation Operations, you will drive strategic transport initiatives and ensure products move efficiently from suppliers to warehouses.

Key responsibilities

• Drive strategic initiatives such as establishing new transport flows, onboarding Logistics Service Providers and scaling Direct Ship operations.
• Lead and optimise inbound delivery performance for assigned markets across air, sea, road and courier modes, meeting SLAs and lead‑time targets.
• Build strong partnerships with LSPs, regional operations, customs and supply planning to proactively mitigate disruptions.
• Co‑lead monthly and quarterly business reviews with LSPs and market teams to evaluate KPIs and enforce continuous improvement.
• Standardise and re‑assess global transport requirements, fostering best‑practice sharing while maintaining local agility.

Required profile

• Degree in business, economics, logistics, supply chain or related field; MBA a plus.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in global transport operations, preferably in apparel/fashion or freight forwarding.
• Extensive knowledge of air‑freight, sea‑freight, truck and courier services.
• Strong analytical, data‑driven mindset with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑changing environment and meet deadlines.
