Integrated Electronics Engineer

About the role

Proxima Fusion is developing the world’s first commercial stellarator fusion power plant. The Integrated Electronics Engineer will design and develop the electronic circuits that enable reliable, high‑performance operation of the converters used in the fusion system.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop PCB‑based electronic circuits for converters, including gate drivers, auxiliary power supplies, sensing, signal conditioning, protection and DC‑link balancing.
• Define circuit architectures, select components, perform simulations and create schematics and PCB layouts that meet functional, electrical, thermal and reliability requirements.
• Explore novel topologies and component technologies to improve performance, efficiency, reliability and compactness.
• Build prototypes, conduct laboratory testing, characterization, verification, troubleshooting and validation of electronic circuits and PCBs.

Required profile

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Passion for PCB design from concept through simulation, prototyping to production qualification.
• Experience owning end‑to‑end electronic system design through multiple rapid iteration cycles.
• Ability to collaborate closely with power electronics, embedded software, mechanical, thermal and system engineers.
