Intellectual Property Counsel

About the role

Richemont is seeking an Intellectual Property Counsel to join its Group legal team in Geneva. You will provide comprehensive IP legal support to selected Maisons, handling both contentious and non‑contentious matters while working closely with business, marketing, design and development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pragmatic IP advice aligned with business priorities and integrate IP considerations into projects.
• Conduct global trademark, copyright and design searches, clearance checks and support filings and registrations.
• Draft, review and negotiate IP‑related agreements such as licences, sponsorships, collaborations, R&D and image‑rights contracts.
• Validate new products, printed materials and digital content for IP clearance and protection.
• Manage contentious IP cases worldwide, coordinate with external counsel and contribute to enforcement strategies, including anti‑counterfeiting actions.

Required profile

• Legal education with a specialization in IP and admission to an EU Bar or equivalent.
• 3–6 years of experience in IP law, preferably in an international law firm or in‑house department.
• Fluent in French and English; Italian or German is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to travel to support Maison teams and stakeholders.
