International Tax Manager - Private Equity Investments

About the role

coni + partner, a consultancy based in Zurich with subsidiaries in Dusseldorf and Shanghai, is recruiting on behalf of its client, the asset management division of an international bank in Zurich. The position is for an International Tax Manager covering private equity investments.

Key responsibilities

• Handle international tax matters (EU and US) related to private equity funds, including reviewing and coordinating annual tax returns for various countries and organizing tax reporting for investors
• Support investor relations teams with tax provisions
• Ensure tax compliance with CRS and FATCA, including annual filings and review of the relevant forms
• Support front-office teams with tax due diligence and structuring for product development, transactions and fund investments
• Collaborate on and monitor process optimization for tax controls and operational procedures
• Monitor and analyze changes in tax law and assess their relevance to the whole company

Required profile

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in law or economics; advanced tax law training (LL.M.)
• Professional experience, ideally at a Big Four firm (PwC, EY, Deloitte, KPMG) or a renowned tax consulting firm with fund-industry projects (e.g. UCITS, AIF funds)
• Experience with Luxembourg funds and the Luxembourg legal system
• Analytical, proactive and detail-oriented, able to work independently and set priorities
• Fluent in English

Required skills

• Expertise in EU and US taxes, and CRS and FATCA compliance
• Proficiency with IT and Excel
