IT On-site Support Engineer – Zurich

About the role

Join Vontobel’s Technology On‑Site team in Zurich as an IT On‑site Support Engineer. You will provide proactive, customer‑focused technical assistance to internal users across national and international locations, ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and multimedia environments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑line support for hardware infrastructure and end‑user software applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests, managing tickets throughout the lifecycle.
• Prepare and configure IT equipment according to workplace standards.
• Set up and maintain multimedia installations in meeting rooms and support technical event management.
• Participate in workstation relocations and assist with hardware lifecycle and inventory management.
• Distribute end‑user IT materials globally and collaborate on IT projects, rollouts, and operational tasks.

Required profile

• Completed apprenticeship in IT or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong experience in IT support, preferably within the financial services sector.
• Service‑oriented mindset with analytical and solution‑focused approach.
• Ability to work flexibly outside regular hours and travel for short‑term assignments.
• Fluent in German and English; additional language skills are a plus.

• Microsoft Windows client environments, especially Windows 11.
• Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Office suite.
• Networking fundamentals.
