Java DevOps Engineer – Geneva (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a Java‑focused DevOps Engineer to join our client’s technology team in Geneva. The role combines software development, API engineering and platform operations in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java‑based microservices and REST APIs.
• Own the full deployment lifecycle, including CI/CD pipeline creation and Kubernetes releases.
• Ensure system reliability through monitoring, observability and incident management.
• Implement secure API architectures using OAuth2 and OpenID Connect.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive automation‑first DevOps practices.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience in Java development and the Spring ecosystem.
• Proven track record building production‑grade microservices with end‑to‑end ownership.
• Experience designing, versioning and securing REST APIs.
• Hands‑on expertise with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Linux and reverse proxies (Apache/Nginx).
• Background in reliability engineering, monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace) and incident RCA.
• Solid knowledge of SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle.
