Junior Business Development Manager

About the role

ALTEN is looking for a Junior Business Development Manager to join its Zurich office. You will act as an entrepreneur within the company, building a new business unit from the ground up while supporting clients across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Create new business opportunities by prospecting and generating leads.
• Gather and develop business leads from existing customers.
• Participate in the design of business offers and support commercial objectives.
• Optimize profitability and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Support clients on demanding projects through various service offerings.
• Analyse and report on business activities.
• Define recruitment strategy, interview and match candidates to meet client needs.
• Manage consultant team career development, conduct annual reviews and coordinate training.
• Supervise the financial performance of the business unit (P&L) and coordinate commercial relationships with partners.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management or Engineering.
• 1‑2 years of consulting experience with a strong interest in business development.
• Native German speaker with excellent English proficiency.
• Entrepreneurial spirit, proactive attitude and a drive to achieve challenging goals.
