Lead Commodity Manager (m/f/d)

About the role

GE Vernova is looking for a Lead Commodity Manager (m/f/d) in Baden to manage assigned electrical commodities for the Gas Power Heavy Duty New Units business segment. The role supports supplier panels that meet or exceed GEV's expectations and negotiates with suppliers to secure optimal contractual conditions while meeting project expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the commercial side of purchase orders with suppliers for assigned commodities
• Help shape supplier strategy, including managing and optimizing supplier panels, and advise on which suppliers to ask for quotes
• Lead negotiations and involve the global commodity leader for key strategic materials, allocating demand to specific suppliers
• Ensure selected suppliers can meet all requirements and gain internal agreement to any exceptions
• Handle purchase order changes and commercial claims related to delivery and quality
• Build commodity expertise with cross-functional stakeholders, identify process improvements and resolve complex issues with stakeholder consensus

Required profile

• Knowledge equivalent to a bachelor's degree, or a high school diploma with relevant experience
• Prior experience in sourcing and commodity management is welcomed
• Fluent English
• Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to analyze and resolve problems, lead programs and projects, and document, plan and execute them

• Pay range of $94,600 to $157,700 for U.S.-based positions, with a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% in some areas
