Lead Financial Auditor – Financial Processes

About the role

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company is seeking a Lead Financial Auditor to oversee financial processes across its global operations. Based in Geneva, you will lead comprehensive audits, detect fraud, and strengthen internal controls within a dynamic shipping environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough financial audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and MSC internal policies.
• Investigate potential fraud, irregularities, and discrepancies in financial transactions.
• Analyze large volumes of financial data using SAP to identify and prevent fraudulent activities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and implement effective fraud‑prevention measures.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline.
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 5–8 years of experience in financial auditing, preferably with a focus on fraud or forensic accounting.
• Experience in the shipping industry is a strong advantage.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English; French or Spanish is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data analysis.
• Proficiency with SAP and other financial software.
• Ability to work with big data sets and perform complex analyses.
