About the role
Our financial client is looking for a Lead Front Office Auditor to join its Basel‑based team on a permanent basis. The role is fully onsite and involves up to 30 days of international travel per year. You will work across a broad spectrum of risk areas, including financial crime and business conduct, while staying adaptable to emerging regulatory challenges.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, execute and report end‑to‑end audits, from scoping to final delivery.
- Draft clear, impactful audit reports for senior stakeholders, including the Board of Directors.
- Act as a sparring partner for local senior management and monitor implementation of audit recommendations.
- Own the audit programme for Panama and the Bahamas, including annual risk assessments and activity planning.
- Participate in special investigations, projects and serve as a subject‑matter expert.
Required profile
- Banking apprenticeship, certified bank professional or higher business education (university or university of applied sciences).
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CFA or equivalent; CPA is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Lead Auditor in banking (internal or external audit).
- Strong analytical abilities, high integrity and accountability.
- Fluent English with excellent written communication; German, French or Spanish are advantageous.
Required skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Experience with Avaloq (advantage).
