Lead Polymer Process Engineer – LightSpray

About the role

Join the heart of the LightSpray revolution as a hands‑on Lead Process Engineer. You will be the critical link between engineering and live operations, ensuring the disruptive technology is robust, repeatable, and ready to scale across global production sites.

Key responsibilities

• Drive data‑driven process validation by executing Design of Experiments (DoE) and validation protocols for high‑volume manufacturing.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for machine parameters and material processing issues, performing root‑cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Support global deployment (up to 20% travel), preparing sites for machine readiness and translating factory‑floor feedback into technical improvements.
• Bridge innovation to production by executing process‑related tasks on multidisciplinary projects, moving material and process breakthroughs from the lab to the line.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) based on real‑time operational feedback to ensure repeatability across sites.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or Material Science, or an apprenticeship in polymer processing or automation.
• 6+ years of industry experience in polymer processing or related manufacturing technologies, with a solid track record in process execution, machine troubleshooting, and validation.
• Practical experience executing experiments, handling machine parameters, and performing on‑site troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of pneumatic systems and the ability to read wiring schematics; experience wiring electrical components is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to perform systematic root‑cause analysis using data‑driven approaches.
• Willingness to travel globally up to 20% and strong cross‑functional communication skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
