Indirect Procurement Buyer

About the role

Zambon Switzerland SA seeks a proactive Buyer to strengthen its Indirect Procurement team. The role focuses on managing indirect spend categories, driving digitalisation, and creating sustainable value through data‑driven sourcing strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead digital transformation of procurement processes using data analytics and AI, turning market insights into actionable purchasing strategies.
• Conduct supplier scouting, qualification and evaluation at national and international levels to optimise the supplier base.
• Negotiate contracts, SLAs and KPIs to maximise value and reduce total cost of ownership.
• Manage indirect procurement, MRO and CAPEX activities from need definition through contract execution.
• Run tenders and e‑sourcing processes in SAP Ariba, supporting supplier onboarding and catalogue management.
• Analyse spend, market benchmarks and supplier performance to identify savings and risk mitigation opportunities.
• Maintain strategic supplier relationships and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as Engineering, QA/QC, Finance, IT and Plant Operations.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SAP Ariba (Sourcing, Buying, Contracts) and integration with SAP S/4HANA.
• Proficiency in analytics and data‑visualisation tools such as Power BI.
• Strong negotiation, spend analysis and supplier management capabilities.
