Learning Support Assistant (Student Shadow)

About the role

La Côte International School Aubonne is seeking enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants, also known as Student Shadows, to join its inclusive classroom environment. You will work closely with teachers and the SEN department to help students with additional learning needs achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to students with learning difficulties.
• Motivate and encourage students to exceed their academic goals.
• Assist children in understanding instructions and completing tasks.
• Supervise group activities and ensure a safe learning atmosphere.
• Communicate regularly with teachers, the SEN team, and parents about student progress.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in a similar support role.
• Fluency in English; working knowledge of French is an asset.
• Relevant degree or qualification in education or related field.
• Excellent communication, discretion, and teamwork attitude.
• Empathetic, calm, positive, motivational, creative and flexible.
• Availability throughout school hours and days.
• Local residency with a clear criminal record.

Required skills

• Fluency in English.
• Working knowledge of French (asset).
