About the role

The Swiss School for International Relations (SSIR) in Geneva seeks a Lecturer in Intellectual Property Law to join its faculty for the Autumn Semester 2026. This position involves delivering undergraduate courses and contributing to curriculum development within an international legal context.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver undergraduate lectures and seminars on Intellectual Property Law, emphasizing its relevance to international law and the global economy.
• Develop and continuously update curriculum content to reflect international legal standards, treaties such as TRIPS and WIPO conventions, and emerging trends including AI.
• Integrate case studies, legal frameworks, and contemporary challenges related to IP rights, technology, and innovation.
• Foster an engaging classroom environment that promotes analytical thinking, legal reasoning, and cross‑border perspectives.

Required profile

• PhD in Law with a specialization or strong background in Intellectual Property Law.
• Proven teaching experience in IP law at the undergraduate level, preferably in an international academic setting.
• Demonstrated practical or research experience in international IP law, familiar with WIPO, WTO/TRIPS, EU IP regimes, or similar frameworks.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in English.
• Swiss or EU citizenship, or a valid Swiss work permit at the time of application.
