Lecturer / Senior Lecturer – Teaching & Research

About the role

UNSW Law & Justice is seeking a Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) to join the School of Global and Public Law. This full‑time, 35‑hour per week, fixed‑term position (2 years) involves teaching across LLB, JD and LLM programmes and maintaining an active research agenda in public law and global legal contexts.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in public law, administrative law, constitutional law and international law.
• Develop and sustain a strong individual research programme, contributing to the school’s research culture.
• Participate in faculty governance, engagement activities and collaborative projects.
• Supervise student research and contribute to curriculum development.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent qualification in law with a recognised research record.
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas: public law, administrative law, federal constitutional law, or law in the global context.
• Experience teaching LLB, JD or LLM courses at the university level.
• Ability to secure research funding and publish in reputable journals.
