Legal Counsel – Digital Asset Banking

About the role

Sygnum is seeking a motivated Legal Counsel to join its digital‑asset banking team. You will work at the intersection of blockchain technology, regulated finance, and product development, helping the bank navigate a rapidly evolving legal landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advisory services on a broad range of regulatory and compliance matters, with a focus on product‑related issues.
• Contribute to legal workstreams and projects related to banking, regulatory, and product initiatives.
• Support the legal assessment, structuring, and implementation of new digital‑asset products and services.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to interpret and apply emerging regulations affecting the digital‑asset market.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, policies, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Passion for blockchain, digital assets, and fintech innovation.
• Hands‑on lawyer able to tackle novel legal questions that lack precedent.
• Empathetic team player who can work under pressure in a fast‑moving scale‑up environment.
• Interest in strategic initiatives that shape the regulatory landscape of financial markets.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of banking, securities, and fintech regulations.
• Experience with product‑related legal work, preferably in digital‑asset or crypto contexts.
• Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation abilities.
