Legal Counsel – Energy Sector (Switzerland/DACH)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Legal Counsel to join the in‑house legal team of a leading energy company. The role is based in Switzerland and supports the broader DACH region, offering the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial and regulatory matters with real impact.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, including procurement, trading and related agreements.
• Provide legal advice on insolvency and enforcement law matters.
• Support compliance with public law requirements, such as public tenders.
• Advise throughout all phases of complex projects, from planning and procurement to commissioning.
• Manage and coordinate external law firms to ensure efficient delivery.

Required profile

• Law degree, preferably with a focus on Swiss commercial or regulatory law.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in‑house within an industrial environment.
• Full professional fluency in German and English.
• Independent, hands‑on, solution‑oriented and pragmatic working style.

Required skills

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Knowledge of insolvency and enforcement law.
• Understanding of public procurement and tender processes.
• Experience coordinating external legal counsel.
