Legal Counsel – Financing & Commercial Law

About the role

We are looking for a commercially‑minded Legal Counsel with 4–7 years of post‑qualification experience to provide day‑to‑day legal support for financing, corporate and commercial matters in a fast‑paced commodity trading environment.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate and review financing agreements, including repo, inventory, receivables, supply‑chain and bilateral trade finance structures.
• Draft and negotiate ancillary commercial contracts such as agency, brokerage, hedging, warehousing and logistics agreements.
• Support facility amendments, waivers, consents, renewals, extensions and refinancings.
• Coordinate transaction execution with external counsel, lenders and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare corporate authorisations, resolutions, certificates and other transaction documentation.
• Manage conditions precedent and closing processes with counterparties and lenders.
• Collaborate with Compliance and Responsible Business teams on financing‑related initiatives.
• Assist the Global Legal Financing Manager and Chief Legal Officer on strategic projects.

Required profile

• Swiss or UK law degree with legal qualification (Swiss Bar and/or England & Wales preferred).
• 4–7 years PQE gained at a leading law firm, financial institution or commodity trading company.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to work autonomously.
