Legal Counsel – Insurance Law (Swiss)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Legal Counsel to join a growing, internationally active B2B insurer based in Switzerland. The role focuses on insurance law, supporting product development, claims handling, and internal stakeholders across sales, product management, and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft objections and manage contentious benefits cases, coordinating with external counsel when needed.
• Provide legal advice on Swiss insurance law to internal teams, especially in sales, product, and operations.
• Support the design of new insurance offerings and ensure ongoing products comply with legal requirements.
• Develop and maintain legal knowledge within claims teams, acting as a go‑to sparring partner for specialists.

Required profile

• Swiss law degree, preferably with admission to the Swiss bar.
• Practical experience in insurance law, particularly sickness benefit (KTG) or accident insurance (UVG), gained in an insurer, legal protection carrier, court, or public authority.
• Fluent in German and English; French or additional languages are a plus.
