Legal Counsel – Swiss Law

About the role

We are seeking a pragmatic Legal Counsel to join our mission‑driven organisation that advances philanthropic impact worldwide. Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will provide day‑to‑day legal, compliance and organisational support with a focus on Swiss law.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on corporate governance, data‑protection, and regulatory matters.
• Review, draft and negotiate consultancy, grant and other contractual agreements.
• Coordinate with external Swiss counsel, manage scopes and timelines, and integrate advice into internal documents.
• Prepare and update corporate governance documentation and regulatory filings.
• Translate legal requirements into practical guidance for programme and operations teams.
• Maintain contract records and develop internal guidance based on recurring queries.

Required profile

• Eligibility to work in Switzerland (valid work permit).
• Swiss law degree (MLaw or equivalent) with 3–5 years of hands‑on experience, preferably in an international setting.
• Strong knowledge of Swiss corporate governance, data‑protection/privacy, and regulatory frameworks.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
