Legal Entity Controller Switzerland

About the role

The Legal Entity Controller will be responsible for the financial planning, reporting, compliance and governance of the Swiss Principal Legal Entity within the Essential Products Business. The role also leads the Commercial Legal Entity Controlling function across global locations.

Key responsibilities

• Own full financial responsibility for the Swiss Principal Legal Entity, ensuring accurate reporting and statutory compliance.
• Manage balance‑sheet reconciliations, group and statutory financial statements, and oversee external service providers.
• Provide guidance on complex accounting matters, journal entries, provisions, accruals and period‑end closing.
• Lead the global Commercial Legal Entity Controlling function, driving standardisation, governance and continuous improvement.
• Support the Internal Control Framework, remediate control deficiencies and address audit findings.
• Partner with Finance Business Partners, Tax, Treasury, Shared Services, auditors and regulators to ensure effective financial governance.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in legal entity controlling, accounting, audit or finance leadership within multinational organisations.
• Proven leadership of international finance teams and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; professional accounting qualification is a plus.
• Strong expertise in IFRS, statutory reporting, internal controls and multi‑jurisdiction compliance.
• Experience with principal business models, intercompany environments and finance transformation projects such as carve‑outs and integrations.
