Management Accountant

About the role

Christopher Ward, a premium watch brand designed in the UK and manufactured in Biel/Bienne, is looking for a Management Accountant to join its Finance team at Christopher Ward SA, its production and assembly entity. The role reports to the Finance team and helps drive the company's financial and operational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts
• Monitor monthly costs and expenses by department
• Analyze production variances and explain them
• Prepare monthly management reporting and review product cost variances
• Analyze Work in Progress (WIP) balances and inventory and stock movement
• Monitor and analyze R&D costs
• Prepare monthly customer invoices, select accounting entries and reconciliations, and validate supplier returns in the ERP
• Contribute to improving financial processes and management reporting tools

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling or a related field
• Initial experience in management controlling, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good command of French or German, with a good command of English

Required skills

• Good command of Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite
• Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an advantage
