Manager - Fund Tax Reporting Services (Zurich)

About the role

EY's Europe West Financial Services Tax (EW FS Tax) team in Zurich advises leading Swiss and international asset managers, fund houses and financial institutions on taxation. As part of the growing Swiss Fund Tax Reporting practice, you will own engagements, from analysing complex, multi-jurisdictional fund structures to delivering investor tax figures that meet the requirements of the Swiss Federal Tax Administration (SFTA/ESTV). The role offers client exposure, technical depth and clear career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review Swiss income tax figures for investment funds, including Swiss taxable income per unit
• Coordinate with EY partner offices, clients and fund administrators to obtain, validate and reconcile the data needed for accurate tax reporting
• Manage the reporting process end-to-end: plan timelines, monitor deadlines and ensure high-quality, on-time delivery to clients and the SFTA
• Act as a trusted point of contact for clients on Swiss fund tax reporting matters
• Contribute to improving and automating reporting processes and tools
• Lead engagements, supervise and coach junior colleagues, and take responsibility for engagement economics and client relationships

Required profile

• University degree (bachelor or master) in law, economics, business administration, finance or a comparable field
• At least 6 years of experience in taxation, ideally in a Big 4 firm, asset manager, fund administration or tax advisory environment, including first leadership or coaching experience
• Full professional proficiency in English (spoken and written); German is an advantage

Required skills

• Excellent analytical and numerical skills and a confident command of MS Excel
• Experience in data analytics or automation is an advantage
• Ability to turn complex tax and regulatory requirements into clear, practical solutions for clients
• Structured, analytical and detail-oriented approach, strong ownership and collaboration skills
