Manager - Tax Accounting & Reporting (IFRS/US GAAP)

About the role

EY is looking for a Manager for Tax Accounting and Reporting in Zurich. You will join the Tax Accounting and Reporting Services team and support national and international clients through tax, reporting, regulation and transformation. The role is project-based, with a clear career path and the flexibility to balance work and personal priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Act as central point of contact for direct tax accounting issues with national and international clients and colleagues
• Take part in tax audits of international groups and single legal entities in Switzerland
• Contribute to BEPS2.0 projects
• Lead clients on established accounts, improve processes in both EY and client systems, and implement services for new clients
• Manage account resourcing, budget and delivery
• Develop and coach the team, including the global EY Shared Service Centre structures

Required profile

• At least 4 years of relevant experience in tax accounting and/or tax audit, preferably in a Big Four or professional services firm in an international environment
• Fluency in German and English; additional languages are a plus

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of general and tax accounting principles and reporting concepts (temporary and permanent differences, current and deferred taxes)
• Strong technical expertise in US GAAP and/or IFRS tax accounting
• Hands-on experience designing, executing and overseeing tax audit procedures for multinational companies
• Ability to analyse complex transactions and their tax accounting implications
• Advanced Excel
