Manufacturing Technician – USP or DSP

About the role

GXP CONSULTING Switzerland is seeking a Manufacturing Technician specialized in either Upstream Processing (USP) or Downstream Processing (DSP) to support a major biopharma client. You will work in a GMP‑regulated environment, contributing directly to the production of life‑saving therapies.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor USP or DSP equipment according to batch records and SOPs.
• Perform setup, cleaning, assembly, and routine operation of production units.
• Document manufacturing activities accurately and ensure compliance with GMP requirements.
• Participate in deviation investigations, CAPA actions, and continuous‑improvement projects.
• Support equipment maintenance and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to resolve process issues.

Required profile

• Technical degree or equivalent experience in biotechnology, bioprocessing, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a biopharma or biotech manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands‑on experience in either USP (bioreactors, media preparation, inoculation, cell‑culture operations) or DSP (chromatography, filtration, purification, buffer preparation).
• Good understanding of GMP and aseptic manufacturing practices.
• Professional proficiency in French and/or English.
