Process and Project Engineer

About the role

GXP Consulting Switzerland is seeking a senior Process and Project Engineer to support client projects from planning through construction and start‑up in the life‑sciences infrastructure sector. You will work closely with internal teams and external engineering partners to ensure successful delivery of chemical, pharma or biopharma plant projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead feasibility, detailed design and execution phases of plant projects.
• Coordinate internal multidisciplinary teams and external engineering firms.
• Generate and approve feasibility and conceptual studies while complying with regulatory and internal guidelines.
• Perform engineering calculations, produce specifications and documentation for plant design.
• Support 3D coordination, resolve collisions and adjust designs as needed.
• Oversee commissioning, acceptance testing and participation in integral tests with partners.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in Process, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in project engineering, planning, construction or start‑up of chemical/pharma/biopharma plants.
• Strong knowledge of engineering documentation (URS, FS, TS, PFDs, P&IDs, layouts).
• Ability to work independently in a complex, multi‑disciplinary environment.
• Fluent in German and English.
