Mathematics Teacher (Secondary)

About the role

La Côte International School Aubonne is seeking a dedicated Mathematics Teacher for its secondary programme. The role runs from August 2026 to July 2028 and offers the chance to teach in a vibrant, multilingual community that follows the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across lower secondary, IGCSE and IBDP levels.
• Design, develop and review curriculum resources for each programme.
• Collaborate with curriculum leaders to select and manage teaching materials.
• Identify and support SEN students in partnership with specialised staff.
• Lead projects, organise field trips and contribute to extracurricular activities.
• Promote health and safety within assigned classes.
• Participate in professional development and staff meetings.
• Foster a positive relationship between the Mathematics department and the wider school community through events, publications and competitions.

Required profile

• Subject‑related degree plus PGCE or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum three years of successful teaching experience, preferably in an international school.
• Experience teaching IGCSE and IBDP Mathematics; MYPS or A‑Level experience is acceptable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Clear criminal record.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of IGCSE, IBDP and A‑Level Mathematics curricula.
• Ability to adapt lessons for mixed‑ability and multicultural classrooms.
• Proficiency in selecting and managing classroom resources and technology.
