Mechanical Engineer – Aircraft Design & Integration

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support aircraft design, integration and modification projects for a leading client in the aviation sector. Based in Basel, you will work in a highly international environment on VIP, commercial and defence programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and support mechanical design solutions for aircraft systems and structures.
• Perform integration activities for aircraft modifications and completion projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure compliance with technical and certification requirements.
• Support design, analysis and documentation of aircraft components and systems throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure adherence to aviation regulations, quality standards and customer specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or a related engineering field.
• 10+ years of professional experience in the aerospace industry.
• Strong background in commercial, VIP or defence aviation projects.
• Expertise in at least one ATA domain (21, 38 or 53).
• Experience with major aircraft platforms such as Airbus A320/A330/A350, Boeing 737/787, Gulfstream G650/G700.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross‑functional international teams.
• Fluent English.
