Mechanical Engineer – Product Engineering

About the role

Capgemini Engineering Switzerland seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join a Product Engineering team focused on advanced medium‑voltage products for industrial applications such as energy, transportation, and large‑scale infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and improve mechanical components and assemblies for an established product portfolio.
• Create, modify, and maintain mechanical drawings using M‑CAD tools (Creo, Solid Edge, or equivalent) and generate BOMs in SAP.
• Support product updates, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities, and prepare technical documentation including 2D/3D design data.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, manufacturing teams, and project stakeholders, and verify designs using appropriate engineering methods.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Several years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Fluent in English and basic German.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools such as Creo or Solid Edge.
• Experience with SAP for BOM management.
• Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g., Windchill).
