About the role

An established recruitment organisation is seeking an experienced Recruitment Consultant with a medical background to join its team. This role combines healthcare knowledge with recruitment, sales and client advisory responsibilities, offering significant autonomy and responsibility across the full recruitment cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new client and candidate relationships through telephone, online and face‑to‑face outreach.
• Identify, attract and recruit qualified healthcare professionals for relevant positions.
• Conduct candidate interviews, assessments and selection processes.
• Match candidates with suitable opportunities based on qualifications, experience and client requirements.
• Manage the full recruitment and placement process from initial contact through to successful placement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with both candidates and clients.
• Work towards defined commercial and recruitment targets while maintaining a strong focus on service quality.
• Manage multiple vacancies and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• A formal educational or professional background in the medical or healthcare field.
• Relevant professional and life experience.
• Strong interest in sales, recruitment and consultative client management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and influence others.
• Confident and persuasive approach when engaging with candidates and clients.
• Structured, organised and independent working style.
• Goal‑oriented and able to perform effectively under time and performance pressures.
• Ability to manage the full recruitment process with a high degree of ownership.
