New Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive New Business Development Manager to drive growth across the EMEA region for an international industrial company. You will identify market opportunities, build a robust project pipeline, and convert prospects into revenue while collaborating closely with sales, marketing, and technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute market and business strategies from concept to implementation for new opportunities.
• Build and manage the project pipeline, turning opportunities into commercial deals.
• Hand over commercially ready projects to the Account Manager in coordination with the Head of Sales & Marketing.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to shape entry and growth strategies.
• Collaborate with internal R&D, production, and marketing teams to integrate solutions.
• Present solutions to C‑level international customers and lead contract negotiations.
• Represent the company at trade fairs and industry events.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Engineering, Materials Science or a comparable field.
• Several years of B2B sales or business development experience at national and international level.
• Strong network and understanding of industrial value chains.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Fluent in English; additional languages such as German are a plus.
• Residence in Switzerland or willingness to relocate, with willingness to travel.
