Nurse Practitioner – OB/GYN

About the role

Capital Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner specialized in obstetrics and gynecology to join its multidisciplinary team. The role involves delivering comprehensive patient assessment, developing and adjusting care plans, and coordinating with physicians and allied health professionals to ensure optimal outcomes for women’s health.

Key responsibilities

• Perform thorough physical assessments and nursing histories to identify patient needs and risks.
• Document assessments, education needs, and care plans in accordance with documentation standards.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, consult specialists, and review results as part of the care plan.
• Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans across the continuum of care.
• Provide safe, holistic therapeutic interventions and evaluate patient response.
• Communicate care plans effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and act as a change agent for practice enhancements.
• Coordinate patient care activities and facilitate continuity across departments.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with Nurse Practitioner certification and licensure to practice in OB/GYN.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop evidence‑based care plans.
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to revise plans based on physiologic and psychosocial findings.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to quality improvement and collaborative practice.
