Palantir Foundry Engineer (Zurich or Lausanne)

About the role

Unit8, a Swiss AI and data analytics consulting company founded in 2017, is hiring a Palantir Foundry Engineer for its Engineering department. The workplace is hybrid, and the position is open to candidates based in Zurich or Lausanne. As a core member of agile project teams, you will design, build and maintain data solutions and infrastructure, using the Foundry platform to solve real-world business problems for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deploy and troubleshoot complex data pipelines and processing systems, with a strong focus on Palantir Foundry.
• Drive optimization, testing and tooling to ensure high data quality.
• Work with software engineers, ML experts and stakeholders in cross-functional agile teams, experimenting and iterating on new product objectives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience with the Foundry platform, ideally in a larger company, with at least 1 year of hands-on work.
• Technical details of what you have built and how you approached the architecture of your Foundry use cases.
• Client-facing skills: comfortable with business and technical clients, able to give presentations, with a strong problem-solving mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to meet clients and the team.

Required skills

• Foundry platform: AIP, Workshop, Code repository, Pipeline Builder, security concepts (restricted views and markings), Ontology and Data connections.
• Programming: Python and PySpark.
• Nice to have: data modeling and basic data science concepts (classification, clustering, regression).
