Partner – Swiss Business Law

About the role

Our client, an international business law firm with 500+ lawyers worldwide, is expanding its Swiss presence and seeks experienced Partners to join the team in Geneva. The role involves advising a diverse portfolio of corporate and private clients across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support to companies of all sizes in Swiss business law, including Financial Services, Life Sciences, General Industries, and Digital Assets.
• Prepare and execute start‑ups, financing, M&A transactions, restructurings, reorganizations, and liquidations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, legal submissions, and other relevant documents.
• Represent clients before courts, arbitration tribunals, and administrative authorities.
• Train, guide, and manage junior lawyers and trainees.
• Maintain existing client relationships and acquire new domestic and international clients.
• Contribute to the firm’s market development in Switzerland and coordinate with global colleagues.
• Monitor legislative and case‑law developments and publish specialist articles or give lectures.

Required profile

• Law degree from a continental European university (MLaw or lic. iur.) with a Swiss bar admission or equivalent permit.
• Several years of Swiss experience in a business law firm or in‑house, preferably in Corporate/M&A, Commercial, IP & IT, Tax, Competition, Litigation or Arbitration.
• Sector experience in Financial Services, Life Sciences, General Industries or Digital Assets is a plus.
• Fluent in English, good French; additional German is advantageous.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, leadership skills, and an existing client base are strong assets.
