PHP Developer – Remote (CET)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced PHP Developer to join a fast‑moving, international team. The role is fully remote, aligned with Central European Time, and focuses on building and maintaining a high‑performance backend platform for scalable digital products in a modern cloud environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a high‑performance backend using PHP 8.2+ and Laravel 11.
• Design and evolve backend architecture with layered structures, repository patterns, and service providers.
• Build secure, efficient APIs using middleware, FormRequests and modern validation.
• Write and maintain automated test suites with PHPUnit, Mockery and TDD.
• Collaborate with frontend, product and design teams to deliver end‑to‑end features.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, deployments and cloud workflows in AWS and Bitbucket.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise performance, including database tuning in PostgreSQL/MySQL.

Required profile

• Strong professional experience with PHP and Laravel in production environments.
• Solid understanding of backend architecture principles.
• Hands‑on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and optimisation.
• Proficiency in testing practices (PHPUnit, Mockery, TDD).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Bitbucket and AWS deployments.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
