Plant Engineer – HVAC & Utilities

About the role

Techfirm Engineering seeks a Plant Engineer specialized in HVAC and building utilities to support an industrial site in the German‑speaking region of Switzerland. You will ensure the reliability, compliance and performance of critical infrastructure while working closely with operations and maintenance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for HVAC, ventilation, air handling and qualified rooms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in heating, drinking‑water, wastewater and fire‑water systems.
• Support operation and optimisation of GMP‑regulated environments and temperature‑controlled zones.
• Act as SME liaison between system owners and maintenance teams.
• Contribute to small CAPEX and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Participate in lifecycle management and define maintenance strategies.
• Prioritise and resolve operational infrastructure incidents across the site.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in HVAC, building utilities or industrial infrastructure.
• Background in pharmaceutical, biotech or other regulated industrial environments is a strong plus.
• Strong German language skills (mandatory).
• Hands‑on, pragmatic and structured mindset with ability to manage multiple priorities.
